Common questions
Is it worth replacing an iPhone battery?
Usually yes. If your phone still gets software updates and the screen and cameras are fine, a fresh battery (often under $100) restores all-day life for a fraction of the cost of a new phone. Once battery health drops below about 80%, a replacement is the single most cost-effective upgrade you can make.
My screen works but the glass is cracked — do I need a full repair?
Not always. If the display lights up correctly and touch works everywhere, some devices allow a glass-only repair. On most modern phones the glass and display are fused, so a full screen assembly is needed — bring it in and we will tell you which applies to your model, up front.
How long does a typical screen or battery repair take?
Most phone screen and battery repairs are done the same day, frequently within an hour or two. Water damage, board-level work, and data recovery take longer because they require diagnosis and drying or micro-soldering.
Will a repair void my warranty?
A manufacturer warranty may not cover third-party repairs, but a device out of warranty has nothing to lose. Every repair we do is backed by our own 1-year warranty on parts and labor.
Are aftermarket parts as good as original?
Quality varies a lot. We use OEM or premium-grade parts and tell you the difference before we start. A cheap no-name screen may look fine but fail on brightness, touch accuracy, or color — which is why we do not stock them.
My laptop is slow — is that hardware or software?
Often software: a full drive, too many startup apps, or malware. A cleanup or a fresh install fixes many machines. If a mechanical hard drive is the bottleneck, swapping it for an SSD is the biggest speed upgrade for the money. Free diagnostics tell you which.
Can you recover photos from a phone that will not turn on?
Often, yes. If the storage chip is intact, data can frequently be recovered even when the device will not power on. Success is never guaranteed, so keep regular backups — but bring it in and we will assess it at no charge.
